Announcing the 2008 Letters About Literature Essay Contest for Children and Young Adults in 4th - 12th Grade

Now in its 26th year, LAL is sponsored by the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress and Target. Each state has the opportunity to participate. All statewide winners are also entered in the national contest. The participation guidelines are also available at the Library of Congress web site.
